Det er ikke sikkert at det er ESRI som skal bringe GISen til skyerne, men omvendt er der et kæmpe marked som stille og roligt vil glide ESRI af hænde ... måske. Man skal kikke på kernekompetencer og det er ikke web som har belastet ESRI igennem årene. ESRI laver ekspertsystemer og er f..... gode til det. Der imod er firmaer som Amazon og Google gode kandidater til titlen som GIS mesteren i det høje. Microsoft burde være med men når det kommer til web har heller ikke MS viste de store talenter for at gå forrest. Nu er ESRI mere eller mindre i lommen på MS såååå ...

It is probably not ESRI who should bring GIS to the clouds but on the other hand it a huge market potential not to be part of ... perhaps. If one look at the core business of ones activities ESRI has not been loaded with web talent over the years. ESRI make good expert systems and is damn good at it. So it might be companies like Amazon or Google that gonna take the title as GIS master in the high heavens.
