This Two-Year Old is a Better Geographer than You

A while ago a saw a TV show in which a bunch of Americans were asked about the where abouts of a list of 'famous' places in Europe (and the US). The main part of the people asked (or the ones showed) had big problems giving right answers and even if the answer was correct they accepted that they were wrong when explained that all of the places in question were Australien locations (even Mt. Rushmore!). This is of course stunning but also something to reflect upon.
