Bluyah was built from the ground up to take the pain out of data transformation. We believe that all data wants to be normalized and that once it's taught how to behave it can become anything you want it to become.

Want to take an RSS feed from your favorite news source and load the data into Excel™ as a CSV file? We can do that.

Want to grab a snapshot out of your database and display it in a web browser? We can do that.

Want to take that same database snapshot, pull off the first 3 columns and transform them into an XML data source that can be fed automatically into another application running on a different server, while simultaneously taking the last two columns from that same snapshot and converting these into a line chart that can be embedded into your company's homepage? We can do that.

Fun? When was the last time you had ‘fun’ pulling data out of a database for analysis?

With three easy steps, that's all about to change.

  1. Connect to Your Data Source

For an Atom or RSS feed, you only need to know the URL.

For a datasbase you will will need to know the following:

    • The database hostname
    • The database username and password. (we strongly recommend this be a read-only account).
    • The database view(s) that contain the data you need.

  2. Define Report Content

Using the intuitive drag-n-drop interface, select which data fields you want to see. Change the column headers, the report title, the sort order of your data easily.

Have different needs for the same data? Create a copy of your report and edit it for your needs.

  3. Export your Report to any Format

Every report is assigned a unique 32-character identifier. To change the format of your data, simply change the URL you use to fetch it. For example, to see your report on-screen you would use:

To see the data in XML format, change ‘screen’ to ‘xml’ and voila!

Want that data in a CSV file? Simply change the URL to use the ‘csv’ exporter:
