ArcGIS 9.3 Enterprise Deployment

Har af gode grunde ikke læst den endnu, men det ser lovende ud og kan sikkert give en masse hints og tips til dem som kaster sig ud i større ArcGIS installationer.

For reasons quite obious I haven't read the paper yet but it looks promising and it may give you a lot of hints and tips if you are one of those in charge of large ArcGIS intallations.

ESRI has published a new white paper which discusses the enterprise deployment of ArcGIS 9.3.

The paper focuses on the deployment of ArcGIS 9.3 using Microsoft Systems Management Server (SMS) and Group Policy.

This technical paper discusses the enterprise deployment of ArcGIS 9.3 setups using Microsoft® Systems Management Server (SMS) and Group Policy, including additional system requirements, suggestions, known issues, and Microsoft Software Installation (MSI) command line parameters. Deployment in a lockdown environment is also covered.

It's also good to see that deployments in lockdown environments have been covered for those that have these in place.
