New Version Supports ESRI ArcGIS Server, ArcGIS Image Server, and Google Earth

SEATTLE--(BUSINESS WIRE)--LizardTech, a division of Celartem, Inc., and a leading provider of software solutions for managing and distributing digital content, announced today the release of Express Server 6.1 for distribution of massive geospatial image datasets via the Internet. Express Server 6.1 furthers interoperability with support for third party products including ESRI ArcGIS Server, ArcGIS Image Server, and Google Earth. In addition, Express Server 6.1 now supports NITF imagery and streaming JPEG 2000 (JPIP).

In this latest version, Express Server, known for its highest quality Web distribution, furthers LizardTech’s goals of interoperability by offering support for ESRI’s ArcGIS Server and ArcGIS Image Server, along with Google Earth. Now by adding image layers from Express Server 6.1 to ArcGIS Server and ArcGIS Image Server customers can rapidly view MrSID and JPEG 2000 imagery. Similarly, they can load imagery from Express Server 6.1 into Google Earth for high performance viewing of raster imagery.

LizardTech’s defense customers also have something to look forward to with the release of Express Server 6.1. With support for streaming JPEG 2000 (JPIP) imagery now available, customers in the field can stream their JPEG 2000 imagery, even over low bandwidth connections when speeds and connectivity are sporadic. In addition, users can now serve their NITF imagery directly through the Express Server 6.1 and make their imagery available faster than ever before.

“Our customers have been thrilled with our existing ArcIMS integration, and have been asking for support for the latest versions of ESRI’s products,” said Jon Skiffington, LizardTech’s geospatial product manager. “With the integration of third party product support for ESRI ArcGIS Server and ArcGIS Image Server they’ll be able to view their raster imagery faster than before. Additionally, with support for Google Earth, JPIP and NITF imagery, the release of Express Server 6.1 will make working with raster imagery even easier for our defense customers.”
